Sunny Deol was born on 19th October 1957 in Sahenawal village of Ludhiana. After his father’s success in the B-Town, their entire family moved to Mumbai very early. Deol completed his schooling from the Sacred Heart High School in Mumbai. Later, he acquired a degree from the R. A. Podar College of Matunga in Economics. With a firm Bollywood backing, it was pretty inevitable for Sunny to try his luck in the shimmery world of acting. Sunny was born with the real name, Ajay Deol.

Following his Father’s Footsteps

Sunny Deol made a Bollywood debut in 1983 with a film titled Betaab. It made considerable business at the Box Office and Deol’s performance was able to woo the critics. He then appeared in the titular role of Arjun which helped him create a name for himself as an action hero. The film was a sleeper hit at the Box Office. He continued to rule the action genre with back to back hits like Sultanat, Tridev, Dacait, Paap Ki Duniya, and Yateem.

With time, the frequency of the films released was thinned down. He then collaborated with his brother and father together in two projects titled Apne in 2007 and Yamla Pagla Dewaana in 2011.

He performed in a handful of movies after 20111. He directed his second film, Ghaayal Once Again which failed to amuse the audience and critics. He appeared in the sequel of Yamla Pagla Dewaana which couldn’t perform well at the Box Office. He was paired opposite Kangana Ranaut in I Love NY. The film was a drastic flop and there was hardly any audience turned out at the cinema theaters.
