Irrfan Khan Biography
Sahabzade Irrfan Ali Khan adopted the screen name Irrfan Khan after he decided to appear on the big screens. He was born in the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur on 7th January 1967. While he was persuading a master’s degree in Arts, he was blessed with a scholarship from the NSD (National School of Drama). He then shifted his attention towards mainstream acting, where he enjoyed a lot of success with his early roles in the Indian Television scene of that time.

He was born in a Muslim family of a Pashtun descent. His mom belonged to a royal Tonk Hakim family while his father was a landlord and ran a big tire business in their hometown, Khajuriya village of the Tonk district. He is one of four children in the family having two brothers, Salman and Imran, and a sister, Rukshana Begum. Irrfan practices vegetarianism right from his childhood and was a butt of all jokes in his family while he grew up.
